This was Dodge's answer to the Torino's that were ruling the tracks
Donnie Allison's 1969 Talladega Torino, and Petty's new ride. When Plymouth didn't follow suit in 69 with a new model Petty moved over to Ford (yes it's true Mopar lovers). This is King Richard Petty's 1969 Ford Talladega Torino. Petty finished 2nd in points in 69 behind David Person also driving the Torino.
This is the car that brought Petty back, the 1970 Plymouth Superbird this one driven by Ramo Scott. In 1972 Petty switched car companies and started driving this 1972 Dodge Charger in the new STP colors.
